Introduction

At Build & Bake, we take food allergies and intolerances seriously. The following allergens may be present in the Build & Bake bakery and certain products in our range. Every care is taken to ensure cross-contamination does not occur in our kitchens and preparation areas.

As we are a small bakery, we cannot guarantee that traces of any of the above allergens shall not appear in any of our products, even if they are not included. Our main allergen is peanut/tree nuts.

Please also note that we no longer offer an ingredients card insert in the box. All information about allergens and ingredients for a product can be found on its product page and our website’s ‘Nutritional Database‘, by scanning the QR code on the box.

Some products can be made to order, so certain items can be left out on request but as we grow this is becoming more and more difficult to do. Nonetheless, please add a note to your order if you have any special requests. All allergens specific to each product are detailed in their respective product pages and on our ‘Nutritional Database‘.

List of Allergens & Explanations

Soya

Soya Lecithin is used as an emulsifier in the production of chocolate used in all brownies. Soya is also present in the miso caramel sauce.

Cereals Containing Gluten

Wheat Flour is not used but present in toppings such as the Jammy Dodger and Oreo flavorings. Lupin is not present.

Fish and Molluscs

Not used in any product.

Milk

Used in all brownies and blondies, appears as Concentrated Milk and in Whey Concentrate.

Peanuts

Used in all of our products( everything is made in a location that handles nuts, tree nuts).

Eggs

Used in all brownies and blondies.

Tree Nuts

Hazelnuts are used wherever Nutella, Ferrero Rocher & Kinder Bueno are present and can be added to custom orders. Pecans are used in the Pecan Brownie. Almonds are not currently used but may appear in specials.

Mustard

Not used in any product currently.

Sesame Seeds

Not used in any product currently.

Celery

Not used in any product currently.

Sulphur Dioxide

Not found in any products.
